A shocking incident in Birmingham has left parents across the city on high alert after a 14-year-old girl narrowly escaped a kidnapping attempt in broad daylight.
West Midlands Police confirmed that two men, aged 32 and 28, have been arrested and charged following the incident, which occurred near the busy Highgate Road area last Friday afternoon.
A Frightening Ordeal
The teenager was reportedly walking home from school when a vehicle pulled up beside her. Witnesses said one of the men exited the car and attempted to drag her toward the vehicle before she managed to break free and run into a nearby shop for safety.
Quick-thinking shop staff locked the doors and contacted police. The suspects fled the scene but were tracked down through CCTV footage within hours.
