Montafon is the kind of valley that slows your breathing the moment you look up. A tandem flight is not a stunt. It is a quiet glide with an experienced pilot who takes care of the launch, the wing and the landing. Your task is to look around and feel what makes free flight special. In winter it gets even better. You can combine your ski holiday with a tandem flight, then be back on the slopes for another run. On many sites we can start right on skis. You slide a few meters, the wing lifts, your skis get light, and you are in the air. No jumping, no big steps, just a smooth slide. If conditions fit, we land on skis too, rolling to a gentle stop on a wide slope.
Montafon gives us routes for every mood. From Hochjoch the valley opens in a wide V and the light falls nicely in the morning. Towards Silvretta the horizon stacks with peaks, and when the air is crystal you see across Vorarlberg to Lake Constance. Winter air is often stable and clear, so the textures on the snowfields, the forests and the village roofs look almost drawn. In spring and summer the flights get lively and longer. Thermals build, we climb in steady circles and link clouds like stepping stones.
Who can fly. Most people. If you can walk a few steps or slide a few meters on skis, you can launch. Dress like you do for a lift ride to the top, with warm gloves and sunglasses. We provide the helmet and the harness. Your pilot does a short briefing, checks the lines and wind, then gives you a simple start command. The wing is large and forgiving, made to carry two, and your seat becomes comfortable right after takeoff.
How long do we fly. The standard flight is around 15 to 30 minutes, longer if the air helps. The feeling for time changes up there. Minutes are slow. If you want more dynamic turns, tell your pilot. If you prefer calm, we keep it calm. Photos and video are easy to add. We carry a camera on a pole so you leave with proof that your smile was real.
